Paris on Film: A Year After Our Dreamy Honeymoon
It’s been over a year since we took our romantic and very belated honeymoon to Paris. It was a dream come true. To anyone who says Paris is an overrated city: I strongly disagree. We had the best time. Perhaps part of it was because it was our first time away from our twins since they were born. And although I felt anxious about leaving them, I knew they would be safe and loved with my in-laws. Plus, my hubby and I would get to recharge and be better parents after a jaunt across the globe.
Spending time away from our kids to recharge is essential for any mother’s well-being. I know you (me) can feel guilty, but I promise you it’s worth it. Those precious moments alone allow us to reconnect with ourselves, to regain energy and clarity. Whether it’s indulging in a quiet cup of coffee in a sunlit café or taking a long walk through a local park, these breaks provide us with a chance to reflect and reset. Then, you can return to your family feeling refreshed, ready to embrace the chaos of motherhood with renewed enthusiasm. And patience! The time apart deepens our appreciation for the joyful, albeit hectic, moments you share together.
We ate the most delicious food, drank champagne with every meal, shopped in designer boutiques, indulged in every way imaginable, slept in the most fabulous bed at Hôtel Madame Rêve. Ugh. The trip was too good. I was super excited to go to the Jacquemus store, and my husband was thrilled to check out Balenciaga Couture. I even got my dream saddlebag at Dior, with a flute of bubbly on the side.
Here’s a reel I made of all the looks I served during our trip:
One thing I love about travelling is that I get to pack the crème de la crème of my wardrobe. So, of course, all of my outfits are top-notch. At least to me. And isn’t that what matters?
Overall, it was the trip of a lifetime and I can’t wait to go back. Au revoir, Paris!
