The Manhattan Mishap Playlist on Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music

page0 28.jpg

There’s nothing like a good beat to get you in the mood. For what, you ask? Literally anything: doing your makeup, pre-drinking, cooking dinner, cleaning the apartment, running errands, trying on clothes. You get the picture. To get in the mood to read my début chick-lit book The Manhattan Mishap, I created a saucy playlist on Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music.

The Manhattan Mishap playlist features sixty vibrant tracks from Mariah Carey to Britney Spears, Toni Braxton, and Brandy. It’s mainly R&B with a few pop songs sprinkled in there for good measure. This is Margot’s mix (my main character). Not unlike yours truly, she’s obsessed with early 2000s hits. I mean, who isn’t? And please don’t tell me you’re not because that would break my heart. (Cue: Dua Lipa.)

So, like Sean “Diddy” Combs said in 2006, press play.

Listen to THE MANHATTAN MISHAP Playlist

If you want to live the life you think you deserve, you better work bitch.

Listen on Spotify.

Margot Moss is a sophisticated lady but nasty when she wants to be.

Listen on Apple Music.

From on top of the world to down in the dumps, The Manhattan Mishap is rich with scandals.

Listen on Tidal.

If you had to pick, which are your top 3 songs? Three songs that totally exude the book’s aesthetic are: Scandalous by MisTeeq, Luxurious by Gwen Stefani, and Glamorous by Fergie. Listen to the rest of my fiercely curated playlists here. There’s everything from WFH music to chilled out Sunday beats. Coming soon: Thirty and Flirty and Thriving for my 30th birthday!
